Obelisk The Tormentor

The Winged Dragon of Ra’s legal card proved to be totally different from the card in the anime, but Obelisk The Tormentor was perfectly made to match the effects it had in the anime.

Obelisk The Tormentor has 4000 ATK and 4000 DEF, and it requires 3 Tributes to Normal Summon this card. Obelisk The Tormentor cannot be Set, but it CAN be Special Summoned. When this card is Normal Summoned, card effects cannot be activated. Obelisk The Tormentor cannot be targeted by the effects of card effects,  and I was very pleased to see that since that was Obelisk The Tormentor’s effect in the anime. If Obelisk The Tormentor is Special Summoned, it is sent to the Graveyard during the End Phase, but with 4000 ATK and immunity to card effects, I’m not shocked. You can Tribute 2 monsters to destroy all monsters your opponent controls, but on the turn you use this effect, this card cannot declare an attack.

Summing It Up

I couldn’t be happier because Obelisk The Tormentor is just like it was in the anime. It has 4000 ATK and 4000 DEF, it can’t be targeted by card effects, card effects can’t be used when Obelisk The Tormentor is Normal Summoned, if you Tribute 2 monsters, you can destroy all monsters on your opponent’s side of the field, and when Special Summoned, Obelisk The Tormentor is sent to the Graveyard during the End Phase. Obelisk The Tormentor is a strong card, and the legal card is still a powerful card that deserves the name Egyptian God Card. Obelisk The Tormentor is still one of the best cards in the game.
