Ancient Fairy Dragon VS Black Rose Dragon

Ancient Fairy Dragon and Black Rose Dragon are two of the 5 main Dragon-Type monsters in the 5 D’s animation. Both of these cards are adapted to specific Decks although they can function in any Deck.

Ancient Fairy Dragon is a Level 7 monster with 2100 ATK and 3000 DEF that allows you to Special Summon 1 Level 4 or lower monster from your hand every turn. However, you cannot conduct your Battle Phase on the turn you use this effect. Ancient Fairy Dragon allows you to destroy 1 Field Spell Card on the field, gain 1000 life points for doing so, and then you get to add 1 Field Spell Card from your Deck to your hand. This card was a powerful threat to the Earthbound Immortal monsters since those monsters can only remain on the field if a Field Spell Card is present.

Black Rose Dragon is a Level 7 monster with 2400 ATK and 1800 DEF that allows you to destroy all cards on the field when it is Synchro Summoned successfully. By banishing 1 Plant-Type monster from your Graveyard, you can switch 1 monster your opponent controls to face-up Attack Position, and that monster’s ATK is reduced to 0 until the End Phase. This gives Black Rose Dragon enough time to destroy the monster and inflict 2400 damage to your opponent.

Amarylease

Amarylease is a Level 1 monster with 100 ATK and 200 DEF that makes Tributing easier. During your Main Phase, you can banish this card from your Graveyard to Normal Summon 1 monster this turn for 1 less Tribute. A Level 8 monster can now be Normal Summoned with only 1 Tribute. This card’s solely depends on its effect due to the low ATK/DEF. However, there are some duelists who don’t have a lot of monsters in their Deck that require Tributes. There are more duelists who are building Decks around Special Summoning, Synchro Summoning, and XYZ Summoning monsters. This card would have been the ideal card back when Yugioh began, but now it could be too late to use this card to its fullest potential. Some duelists will still be able to use this card, but they would have to have multiple cards in their Decks that require Tributes.

Forced Ceasefire

Forced Ceasefire is a Trap Card that allows you to discard 1 card from your hand. When you use this card’s effect, no Trap Cards can be activated until the end of this turn. When you have a lot of monsters on your side of the field, you can use Forced Ceasefire. Then you won’t have to worry about Trap Cards as your monsters attack your opponent’s monsters. This will allow you to easily do more damage to your opponent.

Armageddon Knight

Armageddon Knight is a Level 4 monster with 1400 ATK and 1200 DEF. When this card is Summoned, you can send 1 DARK monster from your Deck to the Graveyard. This card works very well in a DARK Deck because there are a lot of DARK monsters that can be Special Summoned from your hand by having a specific number of DARK monsters in your Graveyard. You must have exactly 3 DARK monsters in your Graveyard to Special Summon Dark Armed Dragon while Rainbow Dark Dragon requires 7 or more DARK monsters in your Graveyard with different names. Armageddon Knight allows you to send an extra DARK monster to your Graveyard which will allow you to Special Summon more DARK monsters faster.

Shadow Delver

Shadow Delver is a Level 4 Gemini monster with 1500 ATK and 500 DEF that is treated as a Normal Monster while face-up on the field or in the Graveyard. While this card is face-up on the field, you can Normal Summon it to have it be treated as an Effect Monster. When Shadow Delver is an Effect Monster, you can have this card or another Level 4 or lower DARK monster attack your opponent’s life points directly. With this effect, you can have one of your monsters with over 1000 ATK attack your opponent’s life points directly. Since most monsters that can attack directly only have 300-400 ATK, Shadow Delver’s effect gives you a big advantage in the duel.

Chaos-End Master

Chaos-End Master is a Level 3 Tuner with 1500 ATK and 1000 DEF that has a very good effect. When this card destroys an opponent’s monster by battle and sends it to the Graveyard, you can Special Summon 1 Level 5 or higher monster with 1600 or less ATK from your Deck. The monster you Special Summon won’t have a lot of ATK, but the Level 5 and higher monsters that don’t have a lot of ATK points tend to make up with these effects. Legendary Fiend is a Level 6 monster with only 1500 ATK, but it gains 700 ATK during each of your Standby Phases. Yubel is a Level 10 monster with 0 ATK that cannot be destroyed by battle and makes your opponent lose life points you would have lost during each of Yubel’s battles. Chaos-End Master is also a Tuner, and Special Summoning a Level 5 monster will allow you to Synchro Summon a Level 8 Synchro Monster right away.

Magical Stone Excavation

Magical Stone Excavation is a Spell Card that allows you to discard 2 cards to add 1 Spell Card from your Graveyard to your hand. If your opponent negated the activation and effect of one of your Spell Cards, you can use Magical Stone Excavation to bring that Spell Card back to your hand. In addition to this, if you have a Deck with Dark World monsters, you will be able to Special Summon 2 monsters to your side of the field if both of the monsters discarded were Dark World monsters. Most Dark World monsters can be Special Summoned when they are discarded from the hand to the Graveyard by one of your card effects or one of your opponent’s card effects. Either way, Magical Stone Excavation would prove to be a good addition to your Deck.

Number 6: Chronomaly Atlandis

Number 6: Chronomaly Atlandis is a Rank 6 XYZ Monster with 2600 ATK and 3000 DEF with a very good effect. If you have a Number monster in your Graveyard, you can equip it to this card (when this card is XYZ Summoned). Number 6: Chronomaly Atlandis gains ATK equal to half of the ATK of the equipped monster. This card’s ATK will easily go over 3000 with a Number monster equipped to it, but that’s not the only good part about this card. Once per turn, you can detach 1 XYZ Material from this card to send the monster equipped to this card to the Graveyard. When you send the equipped monster to the Graveyard, this card will lose ATK points, but your opponent will also lose life points equal to half of the ATK of the equipped monster sent to the Graveyard by this effect. When you use this effect, you cannot conduct your Battle Phase.

Gauntlet Launcher

Gauntlet Launcher is a Rank 6 XYZ Monster with 2400 ATK and 2800 DEF that requires 2 Level 6 monsters as the XYZ Materials. The advantage of having ATK and DEF stats that are similar is that when you activate a card effect that swaps the ATK and DEF, this card’s ATK/DEF values will barely change. However, if an opponent’s monster has a lot of ATK but 0 DEF, a card that swaps the ATK and DEF would have a devastating impact on that monster. With Gauntlet Launcher, you can destroy one of your opponent’s monsters by detaching 1 XYZ Material from this card. You can detach more than 1 XYZ Material from this card per turn.

Batteryman AAA

Batteryman AAA isn’t just useful for a Deck with a lot of Batteryman cards. Batteryman AAA is a Level 4 monster with 0 ATK and 0 DEF that allows you to Special Summon another Batteryman AAA when it is Normal Summoned or flipped face-up. Since Batteryman AAA allows you to Special Summon another Batteryman AAA from your hand or Graveyard, you will automatically have 2 Level 4 monsters on your side of the field. The next thing you can do with your two Batteryman AAA monsters is to use them as XYZ Materials for a Rank 4 monster. The Rank 4 monster would be much stronger than the 2 Batteryman AAAs on your side of the field.

Batteryman AA

Batteryman AA is a Level 3 monster with 0 ATK and 0 DEF that can gain a lot of ATK or DEF points depending on multiple factors. If you control multiple Batteryman AA monsters, this card is eligible to gain a lot of ATK or DEF. If all of the Batteryman AA monsters you control are in Attack Position, this card gains 1000 ATK for each one. If all Batteryman AA monsters you control are in Defense Position, this card gains 1000 DEF for each. There are a lot of risks with Batteryman AA, but if you have 3 Batteryman AA monsters on your side of the field in face-up Attack Position, all three of them will have 3000 ATK. That’s really good for 3 Level 3 monsters, but if any of those monsters are switched to Defense Position, all of the Batteryman AA monsters you control will have their ATK/DEF values reduced to 0.

Icarus Attack

Icarus Attack is a Trap Card that is in the Structure Deck Dragunity Legion. Icarus Attack allows you to select and destroy 2  cards on the field by Tributing 1 Winged Beast-Type monster on your side of the field. If you have a lot of Winged Beast-Type monsters on the field, Tribute your weakest Winged Beast-Type monster with this card’s effect. If you destroy 2 of your opponent’s monsters with Icarus Attack, your other monsters will be more likely to attack your opponent’s life points directly.

D.D. Esper Star Sparrow

D.D. Esper Star Sparrow is a Level 8 monster with 3000 ATK and 1500 DEF that is the only monster on your side of the field that can be attacked or targeted by a card effect. There can only be 1 face-up D.D. Esper Star Sparrow on the field. When an opponent’s monster declares a direct attack while this card is in your Graveyard, you can Special Summon this card in face-up Defense Position. This effect will be able to protect yourself from losing any life points from that battle since D.D. Esper Star Sparrow is in Defense Position. However, when D.D. Esper Star Sparrow is Special Summoned by its own effect, it is banished when it leaves the field.

Torrential Reborn

Torrential Reborn is a Trap Card that works very well for a WATER Deck. When a face-up WATER monster you control is destroyed by battle or by a card effect and sent to the Graveyard, this card will allow you to Special Summon the monsters destroyed and sent from the field to the Graveyard at that time. For each monster Special Summoned by this card’s effect, your opponent lose 500 life points. You can only activate 1 Torrential Reborn per turn, but the powers of this Trap Card for a WATER Deck are incredible.

Rank-Up Magic Barian’s Force

Rank-Up Magic Barian’s Force is a Spell Card that will allow you to target 1 face-up XYZ Monster you control. Then, you can Special Summon 1 Number C or CXyz monster from your Extra Deck with that same Type as the selected XYZ Monster but a Rank higher. The selected XYZ Monster becomes an XYZ Material that attaches to the Number C or CXyz monster you Special Summon. Any other XYZ Materials on the selected XYZ Monster also become XYZ Materials to the Number C or CXyz monster you XYZ Summoned. Then, you can detach 1 XYZ Material from a monster your opponent controls (if they have an XYZ Monster on your side of the field) to attach it to the Special Summoned monster as an XYZ Material.
