Number 9: Dyson Sphere

January 6, 2013

Number 9: Dyson Sphere is a powerful XYZ Monster with an unusual effect for an XYZ Monster although it is a great effect.

With 2800 ATK and 3000 DEF, Number 9: Dyson Sphere has enough ATK and DEF to remain on the field for awhile. You need to have 2 Level 9 monsters on your side of the field to act as the XYZ Materials for the XYZ Summoning of this card. Number 9: Dyson Sphere can attack your opponent’s life points directly at the cost of an XYZ Material, but there must be a monster on your opponent’s side of the field with a higher ATK than this card’s ATK. Once per Battle Step, you can negate an attack targeting this card if it has XYZ Material(s) attached to it. When Number 9: Dyson Sphere is attacked and it has no XYZ Materials, you can target 2 monsters from your Graveyard and attach them to this card as XYZ Materials.

Summing It Up

Number 9: Dyson Sphere can attack your opponent’s life points directly if he/she controls a monster with more ATK than this card’s ATK. If that were the case, Number 9: Dyson Sphere can negate attacks from your opponent’s monster that would be able to destroy this card. When Number 9: Dyson Sphere uses up all of its XYZ Materials, you can get 2 from your Graveyard when Number 9: Dyson Sphere is attacked (without XYZ Materials).
