Black-Winged Dragon

October 9, 2012

Your opponent won’t be able to use cards like Cemetary Bomb to inflict damage to your life points while Black-Winged Dragon is on your side of the field.

Black-Winged Dragon is a Level 8 monster with 2800 ATK and 1600 DEF that requires 1 tuner and 1 or more non tuner monster(s) as the Synchro Materials. When you would take damage from a card effect, you must instead put a Black Feather Counter on Black-Winged Dragon instead. You don’t lose any life points, but Black-Winged Dragon loses 700 ATK for each Black Feather Counter it has. Once per turn, you can remove all of the Black Feather Counters from Black-Winged Dragon to target 1 face-up monster your opponent controls. That monster loses 700 ATK for each Black Feather Counter removed from Black-Winged Dragon, and your opponent loses life points equal to the ATK lost by that monster because of this effect. If that monster is in Attack Position, then that’s even better for you because Black-Winged Dragon can easily destroy that monster by battle with its 2800 ATK and inflict even more damage to your opponent.

Summing It Up

Your opponent can’t use Spell and Trap Cards to inflict damage to you any longer as long as you have Black-Winged Dragon on your side of the field. Black-Winged Dragon is a strong card with 2800 ATK that can make an opponent’s monster lose a lot of ATK while inflicting effect damage and Battle Damage all at the same time. If you want a good Synchro Monster, then Black-Winged Dragon is the perfect Synchro Monster for you.
