XYZ Dragon Cannon

May 5, 2012

May 5, 2012, Card of the Day, XYZ Dragon Cannon

XYZ Dragon Cannon is a Fusion Monster with 2800 ATK and 2600 DEF that believe it or not would still be very successful in Yugioh even today. You can only Special Summon this card from your Extra Deck by banishing X-Head Cannon, Y-Dragon Head, and Z-Metal Tank on your side of the field without using Polymerization. With XYZ Dragon Cannon, you can destroy most of your opponent’s monsters, but as an added bonus, if you discard 1 card from your hand, you can destroy 1 card on your opponent’s side of the field. You can use this effect more than once, so destroy everything in your path with XYZ Dragon Cannon!

Do you have an idea of how search and summon its materials easily? It’s a kindla hard! I’ve tried with Jade Knight and Machina peacekeeper… but it’s hard… I’m trying build a deck… This card is my favorite!

    • I would recommend Sangan, Witch of the Black Forest, and Shining Angel would all come in handy. These cards (except Shining Angel) are what I use to get Exodia pieces into my hand. Y Dragon Head and Z Metal Tank are Union monsters, so you can use Roll Out! to bring them back assuming that you have something for the Union monster to equip to.
      I hope this helped.

  3. I recommend replacing your Seven Tools of the Bandit with a Mystical Space Typhoon or Dust Tornado because these cards basically do the same thing, but you won’t lose life points. I am always against Card Trooper because during your opponent’s turn, Card Trooper has only 400 ATK, and you could discard a very valuable card like Overload Fusion. Instead, you can use Painful Choice (not during tournaments) to select the cards you want to send to the Graveyard. For example, you can choose Z-Metal Tank and send it to the Graveyard (if your opponent sends Z-Metal Tank to the Graveyard). Then you can use Roll Out! to equip Z-Metal Tank to Y-Dragon Head or X-Head Cannon. Then, you can Fusion Summon. I enjoyed looking a Deck based on Fusion Monsters without a single Polymerization. You can also use Painful Choice to build up your Graveyard with different Machine-Type monsters for Overload Fusion which would result in a very strong Chimeratech Overdragon.

If you decide to get rid of Card Trooper, you can replace it with Cyber Phoenix which has 1200 ATK and 1600 DEF. When Cyber Phoenix is in Attack Position, none of your Machine-Type monsters (which almost all of your Monster Cards are) will be affected by Spell and Trap Cards that target exactly only 1 Machine-Type monster you control. Basically, you won’t have to worry about a Bottomless Trap Hole, but you will have to worry about a Dark Hole.

I hope this advice helped. If you have any more questions, you can contact me at yugiohphilosophy@Gmail.com
