Number 39: Utopia

January 12, 2012

January 12, 2012, Card of the Day, Number 39: Utopia

Please read the announcements and comment!

Here is the card.

Summary:

Number 39: Utopia is a new breed of monster, an XYZ Monster! Number 39: Utopia resembles Stardust Dragon in ATK/DEF (2500 ATK, 2000 DEF), but has a completely different effect and summoning conditions. For those of you who don’t know, you must have 2 Level Four monsters on your side of the field to XYZ Summon a monster. There doesn’t have to be a tuner. The monsters used to XYZ Summon this monster become Equip XYZ Material Monsters. When you detach an XYZ Material, it is sent to the Graveyard. You can detach 1 XYZ Material from this card to negate 1 attack. So, when this card loses both of its XYZ Materials and is attacked, it is immediately destroyed. This effect is good if this card is attacked by a stronger monster, but bad if it is attacked by a weaker monster. This card has a new effect that not many monsters have to this day.

Rating:

The summoning conditions are amazingly easy and Number 39: Utopia has a nasty effect. I would have to give this card 4 stars because if it is attacked without an XYZ Material attached to it, then Number 39: Utopia is instantly destroyed. Overall, this card is a very good (and inexpensive) card that I would recommend for any Extra Deck.
