Acrostic “Year”

January 2, 2012

Emergency Provisions

Armed Dragon (all LV)

Rainbow Dragon

These 4 cards are very different, but they have all been used in the GX Anime. Now, I will go on to what each of these cards do:

Yubel- Monster Card, 0 ATK, 0 DEF, Level Ten, DARK Monster, Fiend Type, Effect Monster. Yubel cannot be destroyed by battle and you take no battle damage from this card. When Yubel is attacked, your opponent loses life points equal to the attacking monsters ATK before the Damage Calculation. You must Tribute one monster you control or else destroy Yubel. When Yubel is destroyed (except by its own effect), you can Special Summon one Yubel- Terror Incarnate from your hand, Deck, or Graveyard. Yubel is a powerful card, but make sure you get to Yubel- Terror Incarnate before Yubel eats away all of your monsters.

Emergency Provisions- Quick Play Spell Card. You can destroy any amount of your Spell/Trap Cards on your side of the field. You gain 1000 life points for each card destroyed by this card’s effect. You may use this card as a last resort, to get rid of a card you don’t want on the field anymore, etc.

Armed Dragon (all LV)- Monster Card, Levels 3, 5, 7, and 10, WIND Monster, Dragon Type, Effect Monster. Armed Dragon LV3, the first of its group is a simple monster. With 1200 ATK and 900 DEF, you just have to keep this monster face-up on your side of the field until your next Standby Phase. Then, you can Special Summon one Armed Dragon- LV5 from your hand or Deck. Armed Dragon LV5 is not as simple as Armed Dragon LV3. First of all, the offensive and defensive numbers take a dramatic increase at 2400 ATK and 1700 DEF. Then, you can discard 1 monster from your hand and select one of your opponent’s face-up monsters. If your discarded monster has more ATK than the selected monster, then destroy that monster. Also, instead of waiting until your next Standby Phase to have Armed Dragon LV5 evolve, you just need to destroy one of your opponent’s monsters. Armed Dragon LV7 has 2800 ATK and a lower 1000 DEF. You must Special Summon this card with Armed Dragon LV5, and like the others, Armed Dragon LV7 has enhancements as well. Now when you send a monster from your hand to the Graveyard, you can now destroy all of your opponent’s monsters with less than the discarded monster’s ATK. Armed Dragon  LV7 gives you no shortcut to the best of the Armed Dragons, Armed Dragon LV10. Instead, you must Tribute Armed Dragon LV7 to Special Summon Armed Dragon LV10 from your hand. Armed Dragon LV10 has bulked up even more with 3000 ATK and 2000 DEF. By discarding one card from your hand, you can destroy all face-up monsters on your opponent’s side of the field. Then, your opponent has to worry about the 3000 ATK Armed Dragon LV10. Without any monsters, Armed Dragon LV10 will most likely devour the competition.

Rainbow Dragon- Monster Card, 4000 ATK, 0 DEF, Level 10, LIGHT Monster, Dragon Type, Effect Monster. With 7 Crystal Beasts in your Graveyard/field with different names, you can Special Summon this 4000 ATK monstrosity from your hand! You may not be able to use any of its effects on the first turn, but this card is dynamic either way. So, now on to the effect. You can send all Crystal Beast monsters you control to the Graveyard to give this card 1000 more ATK times the amount of Crystal Beasts destroyed by this effect. This effect can be used during either player’s turn. You can then banish all Crystal Beasts from your Graveyard to send all cards on the field to the owners’ Decks, leaving both players  defenseless and reliant on their hands. Rainbow Dragon is a reliable and powerful must-have monster for any Crystal Beast Deck.

How did you like the Acrostic for “Year”? I hope you liked it. Thank you all for your time!!
